61 Demonstration Points in Jakarta Today, Trisakti Students Bring Three Demands to the Palace

A total of 61 points for expressing opinions and 17 community activities were recorded in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday (29/10/2026). This figure was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol. Budi Hermanto in the HI Roundabout area.

A number of groups took to the streets, including JSKK (Kamisan Action) at Taman Pandang Istana, the National Coalition of Indonesian Women with around 20 people in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building, BEM UNJ with around 50 people in the Tugu Tani Menteng area, BEM SI throughout Jabodetabek at Silang Selatan Monas, the United Indonesian Ojol Movement in front of the Ministry of MSMEs, as well as MSME actors with around 100 people in front of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Office. As a result of the action in the Palace area, 9 Transjakarta routes were diverted or shortened.

Separately, Trisakti University students, coordinated by the Student Presidency, staged a demonstration towards the State Palace. They gathered at the Grogol campus starting at 10.00 WIB and then convoyed; There was an argument with the police about the closed road in Medan Merdeka Timur. Kompas TV reported plans to deploy around 500 students.

Students brought the Three People's Demands (Tritura): economic recovery and public services; evaluation of the Red and White Cabinet, eradicating official incompetence, and eliminating dual positions; and strengthening civil supremacy. The detailed formulation of the demands varies slightly between sources. The action banner also highlights the handling of forest and land fires (karhutla), with an urge for President Prabowo to directly visit the disaster site.
